$1,500 Sign-On Bonus

What You’ll Do:

• Measure and cut lumber and other building materials
• Assemble wood framing components (walls, floors, trusses)
• Read and follow construction/design plans
• Use hand and power tools (saws, nail/staple guns, etc.)
• Follow all safety protocols and company procedures
• Work collaboratively with your team
• Maintain a clean and organized workspace
• Perform other duties as assigned

What We’re Looking For:

• Experience in construction or carpentry preferred
• Ability to read and understand design/building plans
• Strong measurement and basic math skills
• Comfortable lifting heavy materials
• Familiar with hand and power tools
• Reliable, safety-conscious, and team-oriented
• Knowledge of lumber and other building materials is a plus

What You’ll Do:

• Generate loose materials lists
• Utilize estimating system to improve processes
• Purchase special order materials
• Coordinate special order arrivals and back orders with logistics
• Communicate back orders, shortages and overages with production/logistics
• Purchase non-commodity stock items and maintain proper inventory levels
• Assist with job costing; labor crew estimates, product estimating
• Backup for: production job batching and keying lock sets for job sets
• Provide continued improvement and feedback during production and yard cell meetings

What We’re Looking For:

• Minimum of 1 year of experience in construction and/or estimating
• Experience with home building processes, practices and building codes preferred
• Experience with Plan-Swift or equivalent digitizing program a PLUS!
• Good visualization and communication skills

Experience:

• purchasing: 1 year
• residential construction: 1 year
• materials estimating: 1 year
